Exemplifying Oredigger Excellence: Quarterback John Matocha and Mines Football

It’s been a record-breaking season for Mines Football and quarterback John Matocha. After winning the 2022 Harlon Hill Award and 2022-23 Academic All-America Overall Team Member of the Year for NCAA Division II, Matocha is leading the No. 1 Orediggers into the NCAA DII Football National Championship Game for the second year in a row. Plus, he's graduating this month with a Master of Science in computer science.
