(1:24) Field Session is a Mines Signature Academic Experience. Most students complete field session between their junior and senior year at Mines—the goal of the experience is to give students hands-on experience applying concepts they’ve learned in the classroom in the real world. Petroleum engineering students traveled to Massadona, Colorado for two weeks, collecting data on outcrops and gaining field experience in petroleum geology.
