COLORADO SPRINGS - Colorado School of Mines running back Landon Walker is the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Walker had a record-setting rushing day as he led Colorado School of Mines to a road win at Washburn in Week 2. Walker rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries, averaging 7.9 yards per carry, and also caught four passes for 19 yards.

Walker tied the Mines program record - and was the first Oredigger since 2019 - with four rushing touchdowns, which came on runs of 75, 1, 6, and 8 yards. His final TD, which came with 7:38 left in the third quarter, proved to be the difference-making score in the 31-28 win. Walker did not lose yards on any of his 18 carries.

He is the second Oredigger this season to earn RMAC honors, joining Blake Doud (Special Teams) from Week 1.

Mines begins RMAC play this Saturday at Chadron State.
